Olapic, a Columbia Business School start up enterprise gives newlyweds the chance to gather together those photo gems that were snapped by their wedding guests. The photos can then be shared among everyone and printed to remind them and their guests of that extra special day.

A Funny Wedding Moment

The newlyweds begin the process by creating a profile on Olapic some time before their wedding day, they then upload the email addresses of their guests. Olapic follows this by sending an email to those on the list reminding them to bring their cameras and be ready to snap.

Following the day, Olapic requests guests to upload their wedding photos to the newlyweds site. The photos are not made public until the couple decides that they are suitable to be shared with the select list of guests or the world at large. This can be achieved by Olapic itself, Facebook, Flickr or Picasa.

Olapic also facilitates the downloading of high-quality images in bulk and, additionally, offers printing and album production services.

Olapic offers a free trial of up to one hundred photos. The newlyweds can then elect to take the $99 option which allows unlimited photos that can be stored online for a year and sends one hundred quality reminder cards to their guests. Extending the storage time for another year costs $25.

Professional photographers are not excluded as they have the chance to offer an additional service by including the guest’s photos in besides their own.
